Each year, AACS hosts a Congressional Summit & Hill Day in Washington, D.C. Attendees gather in the nation’s capital to receive briefing from Members of Congress, their staff and administration, and Department of Education officials. AACS members take this opportunity to stand together and share their knowledge of our sector of education with Members in Congress on Capitol Hill. As a highly regulated industry, it is important that AACS members actively engage elected officials and agency officials.
In 2024, attendees heard from special guest speakers Representative Burgess Owens and Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, and received important legislative and regulatory updates from AACS executive leadership and the AACS Government Relations Committee. Attendees also enjoyed a special sponsored outing to see Shear Madness at the Kennedy Center!
