Lisa Marie Garcia is an award-winning and Board-Certified Master Colorist. She is an Entrepreneur who worked behind the chair where she owned operated successful salons in Austin, Texas, for over 20 years. She joined Farouk Systems Inc. in 1986. The passion for learning and crafting her skills in hair color. Her passionate commitment to education propelled her to become an educator who taught new techniques on national and international stages. She won several awards, including International Artist of the Year, Hair Colorist of the Year, and was published in numerous professional trade magazines with her captivating work and motivation. She has also played a key role in helping realize new business opportunities, drive product innovation, and be effective in all disciplines. This led her to hold various positions at Farouk Systems, Inc., including Director of Shows & Education, Vice President of Marketing, Shows & Education, and President of Innovation.

Oscar Bond began his long history as an industry educator at the esteemed Vidal Sassoon Academy in London. He was a member of the International Artistic and Show Team for Sassoon before taking the giant leap to independence in 1987.
His mastery of the craft and gift for teaching has taken him worldwide for the past 25 years. He has worked in almost every city worldwide and all over America. In 1994, he joined the Aveda Artistic Style Council and was appointed Head of Education for the Aveda Institute in New York – Soho. At Aveda, he was responsible for implementing a robust yet straightforward haircutting system, delivering the latest trends through weekly advanced haircutting classes, national-level shows, and seasonal photographic sessions. In 1998, he began the tremendous task of putting his years of knowledge and expertise into ownership.
Magazines include In Style, Mademoiselle, Jane, Marie Clare, Self, GQ, Details, YM, Soho Style, Time Out, Teen Vogue, Color and Style, and Wall Street Journal & Vogue featured Oscar. His salon is one of New York City’s Top Salons. Oscar has a strong connection to the fashion world, mastery of cutting, and a passion for adapting to the ever-changing eye of style.
Stephanie Carter is the co-founder of Beauty As A Business, a social media curriculum for beauty school students. After years in television news, Stephanie moved into PR & Digital Marketing for education. She’s spent the past decade studying how students choose schools and helping schools increase enrollments. Stephanie has worked on the marketing campaigns for hundreds of beauty schools and is excited to share what worked, what didn’t and the awesome journey of school marketing!
Jennifer Collins has over 23 years of experience in the beauty and wellness industry. Throughout her career, Jennifer has been an educator, program coordinator, campus director, and director of education.
Her passion for teaching is evident in her involvement with the AACS Events Committee, including 2 years as committee chair. She has mentored countless students and educators, with a particular love for growing leadership in others and fostering a team mentality.
Erica Cuni, LMFT, CIMPH, also known as “The Burnout Professor,” is a Leading Integrative Mental Health & Burnout Specialist, Keynote Speaker, and Fellow Burnout Survivor. She is on a mission to empower people worldwide with the life-changing skills to successfully navigate change, stress, overwhelm and burnout so they can thrive consciously.
Most recently, she was named one of “The 22 Leaders to Learn From in 2022” and a featured expert in Refinery29’s article about burnout, reaching 20+ million subscribers globally. In addition, Erica inspired the most-listened-to Mental Health tip on the Bunch Leadership Coaching App and has spoken to 100+ diverse audiences.
With 15+ years of professional experience in the mental health field, including being a Professor, Director, and Psychotherapist, plus training from the holistic side of wellness: Reiki Master, Essential Oils Advocate, Meditation Facilitator, and Gut Health Educator, her cutting-edge perspective is trauma-informed, nervous-system based, holistic-minded, and spiritually rooted.

With two decades of varied experience, including roles as a cosmetology educator, school director and corporate trainer, Daniel is a testament to his commitment to cultivating talent in the beauty industry. An advocate for modernizing learning through technology, Daniel’s servant-leadership approach has helped thousands embrace innovative education methodologies to reach their full potential.
Jessica George is the Implementation and Training Supervisor for Milady. She has been professionally dedicated to the beauty and wellness industry for over 14 years. Her experience has blessed her with having the honor of inspiring others to follow their dreams, as she navigated her own. Education is where her heart found a connection. Jessica’s footprint has traveled the journey of a stylist, a brand educator, an education director of salons and schools, an entrepreneur, an intrapreneur, and as a creative appreciating all the other beautiful experiences along the way.
Lisa Kersting has harnessed 20+ years of experience crafting bespoke education for today’s diverse learners. An instructional enthusiast and a compassionate coach, Lisa understands the unique needs of each learner, fostering essential skills and immersive learning experiences. Having served as a senior cosmetologist and lead cosmetology instructor, she skillfully develops undergraduate licensure programs, illustrating her mastery in shaping educational experiences that lead to a lifelong learning mindset.
Licensed in the states of Kansas, Missouri and Tennessee, Lacey LaRose is a cosmetology educator with over 10+ years of combined experience behind the chair, on film sets and in the classroom. Lacey specializes in helping educators and students perfect their craft, find their passion and love the life they live.
Lauren D. Lewis, known to the world as Lauren the Educator, is a dynamic force to experience. She is extremely passionate about assisting others accomplish and conquer their goals to live the life they desire. Lauren the Educator has operated in the professional beauty industry for 17 years as a licensed cosmetologist, 16 years as a licensed cosmetology educator and 13 years as a successful entrepreneur.
Tammy is a dedicated and driven esthetician with her Bachelor Degree in Education. Over the years, Tammy has been able to combine her passion for teaching and her love for the beauty industry by joining Sugarlash PRO as our Global Education Director.
With over 15 years of experience in the beauty industry and over 10 years of experience in eyelash extensions, she has not only watched as lash extensions have taken the industry by storm, but has also lived in this experience. Tammy is passionate about education, and shares that through her work as a lash artist and educator. She enjoys being engaged, present, and supportive of those looking to join the lash game or elevate their business. For Tammy, it’s all about how rewarding it is to help others feel beautiful while sharing her knowledge with others.
Jennifer Palomba showcases 18 years of seasoned expertise by providing a nurturing approach to education. Wearing many hats that include a cosmetology educator and director of education, Jennifer is committed to serving educators, learners, and industry professionals across North America to unlock their potential. Her passion for inclusive facilitation shines through as she creates learning environments that are safe and productive—meeting learners where they are and guiding them forward.
Johnny Pickering specializes in helping schools understand the impact their Social Media has on prospective students, and the importance of teaching the next generation how to effectively promote themselves to reach their goals after graduation. He currently heads up Business Development for Beauty as a Business, working with schools internationally to improve the educator’s and student’s understanding of Social Media and Google on a business level, as well as, an individual’s success. With over 20,000 graduates certified and growing their careers and income, by leveraging free tools that are available to any beauty professional.
Serving his country in the U.S. Army as a linguist, Jeremiah Sammons never considered a career in the beauty industry. After losing part of his hearing to cancer, he began his journey into the beauty industry at the Aveda Institute in San Antonio, Texas with the intention of someday opening a small salon. That never happened. Instead, Jeremiah began writing for Modern Salon Magazine, developing educational programs for some of the most famous brands in the Beauty Industry, and dedicating the last 17 years of his life to education. Besides having an Instructor’s License in Cosmetology, Jeremiah is a licensed Master Esthetics Instructor, a Massage Therapy Instructor, has earned his M.A. in Elementary Education, a M.A.T. in Deaf Education, and his M.B.A. in Business
Education Lead, PPD American Brands Schools. A licensed cosmetologist for 32 years and an educator for 26 years, holds a bachelor’s & master’s degree in Education from the University of South Florida along with a graduate certificate in Adult Education from Buffalo State University. He has worked in multiple areas of the industry from behind the chair, education, and product testing/development. His most rewarding times are those spent working with other educators.
Tammy Taylor Founder of Tammy Taylor Nails, Inc. has been a visionary in the Nail and Beauty Industry since 1983. She promotes education weekly on her social media outlets, has live workshops, nail bootcamps and has taught over 5,000 classes. Tammy has created thousands of products and procedures, wrote her NIC approved 625-page nail school textbook and works daily at her headquarters in Southern California, developing new products, colors, and techniques.
Cole Thompson is originally from Manchester, England, and has been active in the hair industry since 2000. Cole is the International Creative Director for Elevation H, the youngest creative director at Vidal Sassoon, and a Hanzo Artistic team member.
Cole started his career in independent salons around the Manchester area before beginning work for Vidal Sassoon in 2003, where he quickly became one of Vidal Sassoon’s youngest “Creative Directors.” During his 12 years at Vidal Sassoon, Cole gained tremendous respect in the industry while working closely with many schools in their “School Connection” program. He has traveled the world to educate professionals at all levels on haircutting techniques in both seminar and classroom settings. He developed programs to help clients grow and improve school curriculums, business and salon management, and structure, client growth, assistant training programs, and more.
Cole has also worked on developing collections, has directed and run photoshoots, and has even appeared in a Vidal Sassoon TV commercial as a “Salon Genius.” Cole left Vidal Sassoon in 2015 to continue spreading his expansive knowledge to hair professionals of all levels worldwide, this time through Elevation H — the art, technique, and business of hair.
Cole’s classes come with fundamental techniques aimed at bringing you higher confidence. “Creating a solid core that will allow you to grow is necessary to reach your full potential.”

John W. Turnage, has been delivering results for his schools since he entered the business in 1997. As a current partner in schools located in Dallas, San Antonio, Arlington, Ardmore, Annapolis, Roanoke, Denver and Miami, he has consistently shown strong leadership skills. His Arlington and Dallas schools are in the top five profitable schools in the Paul Mitchell network. The Dallas school was the very first non-corporate owned franchise. His schools have won many national awards from Paul Mitchell and other national organizations such as Modern Salon in the areas of sales, leadership, education and technology among other areas. Also winning one of the Top 35 places to work in the Dallas/Fort Worth area was a tremendous honor.
John has also been awarded several national and local awards. He travels the network and speaks to the students and staff of other schools as well as cooking for the teams to exhibit servant leadership.
Patti Wanamaker is the Sr. Implementation and Training Manager for Milady. She brings 34 years of hands-on experience as a multi-faceted trainer, with an emphasis on eLearning. Her experience in schools and at the salon level allows her to think outside the box and develop innovative training programs and tools that inspire and empower educators to create the most effective learning environment for their learners. When Patti is not managing her team or developing innovative training resources to support Milady customers transitioning to digital, she enjoys quiet time at the beach with family.
Carol Woodard has helped thousands of students reach their dream of becoming successful in their chosen career—while continuing to inspire those who educate them.
