The Council on Occupational Education (COE)

The Council on Occupational Education (COE), originally founded in 1971 as a regional accrediting agency of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, is the successor to the Commission on Occupational Education Institutions (COEI). In 1995, the Council became a national accrediting agency. In 2006, the Council celebrated its 35th year of assuring quality and integrity in career and technical education. The Council’s accreditation process is conducted on behalf of more than 360,000 students across the nation who pursue careers in a variety of technical fields.

Middle States Association of Colleges & Schools, Commissions on Elementary & Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS)

The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) was established in 1887 and is a voluntary, non-governmental, nonprofit, peer-administered association of educational organizations. The Middle States Association – Commission on Secondary Schools (MSA-CSS) is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as an institutional accreditor of postsecondary non-degree-granting schools. MSA presently accredits over 2,600 institutions located throughout the United States and in 116 countries which serves over 1.9 million students world-wide.

National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS)

NACCAS is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national agency for the institutional accreditation of postsecondary schools and departments of cosmetology arts and sciences, including specialized schools. It presently accredits approximately 1,500 institutions that serve over 120,000 students. These schools offer over 20 courses and programs of study that fall under NACCAS’ scope of accreditation.
