When Marketing and Admissions Work As One

The relationship between admissions and marketing should be one of the strongest within your organization. In this session, we’ll explore the importance of marketing and admissions teams collaborating to attract and enroll new students. We’ll cover:
- Why marketing must understand the admissions process to drive quality, workable leads.
- How admissions can successfully convert different types of leads into student enrollment.
- Additional topics that are pertinent to your school’s enrollment challenges.

Admissions and the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)
noon - 12:50 pm CT
A prospective student with an actual or perceived disability first presents to admissions. It is at that juncture in the enrollment process where the disability should be identified and a determination made on how, if at all, that disability will be accommodated. In this session, the law (as it applies to post-secondary schools) will be thoroughly explained, myths will be debunked, and a process for incorporating the ADA into the admissions process will be suggested.
Presented by Denise Herman, Denise Herman Law
What Potential Students Expect to See on Your School's Social Media
1:00 pm - 1:50 pm CT
In the research phase of choosing a school, potential students are checking out your social media accounts and making some very big assumptions about your school based on what they do, or don’t, see there. In this session, you’ll get a list of what should be on your school’s Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok accounts to make sure you’re capturing the best leads from these channels. You’ll get a game plan for content, information and sales tactics to be using with these social channels, and how current students can do a lot of the heavy lifting for you. We’ll also go over the most important updates to each channel for 2021 that you should be aware of to keep your social media game up to date!

Life of Harmony
2:00 pm - 2:50 pm CT
The daily life of a leader is typically not what we think of as “balanced”. Most of us wear many different hats, work long days while also bringing work home with us at night, and because we are naturally “givers” we put everyone else’s needs in front of our own. Just because this is the way it’s been in the past, that does not mean it needs to continue to be this way going forward. It’s time to discover a lifestyle and mindset of harmony in a way that works with our natural way of being. If we are ready to experiment and play with new ways of thinking and being, leaders can have a more peaceful relationship with personal and work life… we can have more clarity and growth in all areas of our existence. This requires a more compassionate, patient, and realistic approach to our patterns and daily habits. Together, we are going to gain non-judgemental awareness of where we currently are and move towards a fresh way of being that is sustainable and supportive in the long term.
